I want to see what Bisenius has.

Glad to see he's already warming.

It's also tough to build a big inning when Nyjer Morgan is in the lineup, period.

I'm gonna predict a Dunn homer to tie this game up in the 9th.

Balester makes the team next year. Does he start? I don't know, but he looks more in control than Detwiler did. Throws hard, too.
He has had ample opportunities to start. He's better suited as a reliever

Bally has looked really impressive lately. I hope he gets a serious shot out of spring training. (Call me biased, but Spinman's connection with him, makes me want to root hard for him)
I want to root hard for him too!  He is one of us. He loved the chat he had with the guys/gals on the board in the offseason. He's a fan of baseball just like we are.

Desmond needs to get on base here for Zimm.

It takes a lack of effort for me to boo.   Although, a really boneheaded play is awful tempting.  And he's building a portfolio of them this year.

He's only had 22 starts and none this year in the bigs. I wouldn't give up on that yet.

But with the Nats... his best chance to break with the club next year  is out of the pen. His stuff is Nasty, either as a starter or out of the pen.  He certainly looks like a Major Leaguer and not a AAAA guy.

So terribleness doesn't warrant boos?  Cuz, he's got a bushelful of that too.

Actually, as bad as he looked early in the game, Maya pitched well enough for us to win.  Too bad the offense took the night off.

He threw some wicked pitches that inning, great job.

Helluva catch by Dunn with the runner bearing in on him, on that errant throw.

There's a defensive advantage to having Dunn  at 1B. Most runners will just bounce off big Adam.

If a player is terrible should the boos be at the FO and manager for playing him?

Did you bother looking at both park effect and luck?  Park effect puts his AAA FIP at 3.75.  Luck effect puts it at 3.18.  Park drops the WHIP to 1.25 and luck drops it to 1.22.  So you've got a high K rate pitcher who doesn't walk people who pitched in a hitter's park and had significant bad luck.  Way to ignore all of that.
So luck is now a quantifiable statistic too?

No doubt. Only giving up 4 runs should give a team a very good chance of winning the ball game, especially facing a pitcher far from established.

Like Tom, I don't boo unless the player just stops trying... but I could certainly see other fans doing it, soon.
