He's striking out at the same rate as in past seasons. He usually hits the ball solidly, but because he's hitting it on the ground more often now, he's not getting the line drive doubles that he's known for. I really do think he'll be fine.

Desmond simply doesn't know whether the ball is going to be in the strike zone or not unless it's egregiously clear that it missed. It's unfortunate, but it's true.
