New half of the season.

New manager.

Same ol' Nats.
yep. I was excited for the second half to begin and looking forward to the game tonight but it's the shame horrible ass crap once again.

This team is infuriating.

no questioning that.  he's the reason we lost tonight.

WTF happened?

No way. Lannan.
As PC will back me up, the pitching/defense just controlled the size of the loss.

You can't win if you only score 1 run. Not good enough.

WTF happened?

Zim Chico'ed a ball into the stands, giving the Cubs and extra out and they scored. Plus he's been terrible at the plate.

zimmerman made the worst error i've ever seen.  routine grounder to third that he airmailed - nowhere close to johnson - to move the runner over (#8 hitter mind you).  Lannan tried his best to escape without further damage, but couldn't thanks to zim.

Lannan gave up 2 earned runs just shy of 7 innings ... great performance out of him AGAIN.

Even discounting the unearned run, we'd still be losing 2-1.

Nats have learned that keeping the ball down = groundouts = good pitching. Boom, make me pitching coach.

Lannan was far from great.  Had he gotten through 7 and not allowed that last run to score which was horrid I would have been more than satisfied with his performance.

however he gave us a chance to win and is not to blame for the loss despite not being at the top of his game.

Continuing to bat him 3rd guarantees that Riggleman will be Acta'd at the end of the season.

Remember the homer Miguel Cabrera hit off JP opening day 2006?

I caught it.

I stepped away to the store for a minute. What did I miss regarding Olsen?

He's really hard to hit when he's on, though.
