The ACC, Big East, and Notre Dame just announced that Notre Dame will join the ACC effective this July 1 (and will not pay an exit fee to the Big East). 15-team basketball schedule next year. Potentially tough group: In the current AP poll, you have Duke (#2), Miami (#9), Pittsburgh (#17), Syracuse (#19), Notre Dame (#24), and UNC (others receiving votes); NC State and UVA had decent seasons this year as well. I'm not counting Louisville at #4 in the rankings because they won't join until at least 2014, but it's kind of amusing that for all the hype about ACC basketball, of the current or future league members currently in the Top 25, only one (Duke) is a "traditional" ACC member and the others are all Big East transplants.
