You are probably right, hammonds. Bernie is better as a PH since he does not play much. If LaR, Morse, or Harper went down for a period of time (perish the thought) then Brown could come up and play.
Brown could be playing himself into a trade chit, which would be nice. Say, the Astros as part of Wandy deal . . . (just a hypo)
