:spaz:

The BS that they are spewing about Maxwell improving in AAA is laughable.

Over his last 10 games: 6/32 (.188), 6 Singles, 4 Runs, 0 RBIs, 3 BBs, 8 Ks, 3 SBs, 2 CS.

No extra base hits. Low average. 25% strikeout rate. Down from where it was before but not what it should be for a guy who supposedly is just going up there trying to make contact.

I know you would prefer to have Bernadina swing the bat and then have Nyjer run for him, but since that is out of the question, can it. Weren't you nagging about Harris yesterday?

Maxwell- .276 OBP
Gonzalez- .291 OBP

Great idea Riggleman to put your two worst guys at getting on base and give them the most PA. Brilliant!

I'm all for Maxwell playing. I hope he plays every day for the rest of the season. Still, the crap that Rizzo and others are talking about to the press about him improving in AAA is just not true.

We need to find out if he can play once and for all. He's got the skills but at some point you have to put it all together.

He'll be 26 in a few months. put up or shut up.

We'll probably score upwards of 12 runs tonight.  That's how it always seems to work...

I'm sorry, but you are likely to be disappointed if you are counting on Maxwell.

I'm not counting on him for anything and have pretty much written him off but the organization still appears to be high on him to an extent.

I think he might be a decent 4th-5th OFer but we already have more than enough of those on this team.

Maxwell's defense is fine and he's got good speed. But he strikes out too much and can't hit for a decent average.

Richard got rocked in his last start so he'll probably bounce back tonight and dominate us.

Watching the Orioles game right now and I don't know what they did to Felix Pie's swing but he is on fire right now.

Easy, they had him leave Chicago and he remembered how to play baseball ;)

My thought on all of the predictions:a game will be played and someone will win.

Hopefully I stay awake tonight to listen to the whole thing.

Cincinnati second baseman Brandon Phillips was hit in the left wrist by a Martin pitch on Aug. 15. He sustained a hairline fracture. Now Phillips wants revenge.

"He came up and in and I still think he did it on purpose, but it's all good," Phillips said. "We don't play them again [this year] but I'm gonna face him again. I mean I'm not trying to fight, I'm just trying to get him back for hitting me."

That name again?

"J.D. Martin," Phillips said. "You can look at my hat and his name is in there. I write names in my hat and remember who I need to get. ... Not fighting or nothing, but getting back at that dude. You give some hard look at 'em, let 'em know, let 'em see your name."

:lmao:

This isn't something new from him. He loves spouting off his mouth to the media and sounding like a complete fool.
