I don't want to start playing again now, only to make a new character when Cataclysm hits. you know? so I'm gonna wait until Cataclysm launches.

and hopefully by then I can get an upgraded computer too as a bonus.

I had a horde account with an 80 orc warlock. I was playing alot last year with some friends but they both sold their accounts so now its just me. I wanted to get an 80 on my alliance server just to experience the new high and low stuff.. I don't know if I'm going to play cataclysm though, since I dont have anyone to play with anymore.

i wanted to make a werewolf warlock.

I am planning on making a Worgen Druid, Warlock, or Priest. Druid is the only class I'd never played to 30, so I think I'm leaning in that direction. mad that Worgen can't be Paladins though.

Yea Paladins are pretty cool, got one to a 60 with that refer a friend stuff. Druid was my first character and got one to a 60 before the expnasions. I'll probably end up playing cataclysm because the new continents adn everything all deformed looks pretty badass.

I got my WoW account through Refer-a-friend from my cousin so we get 300% experience for 90 days up to level 60.  I had never played before but now I am hooked.  We're going to try to get a couple different toons up to the lvl 60 cap before we lose the 300% exp bonus and then go the rest of the way to 80 or whatever.

Since I've never played, I want to get through the whole game at least once on both sided since when Cataclysm comes out everything will change.  I'm sure you can still use your current characters after Cataclysm, but yeah, I'll probably play through again afterwards to experience the changed environments and I assume changed quests.

All my current characters are on Illidan if anyone ever wants to group up or whatever, and we usually play late night from midnight or so until whenever.

I just started up SOE's new Casual MMO called Free Realms.

graphically it looks pretty much like WoW, only without the oversized feet and hands and popeye forearms. It has a kinda cutesy, cartoony look to it.

but it's a really casual MMO, i mean REALLY casual. it is meant to be a "family" game, as it was stated. something Kid-friendly, but that Adults can also enjoy. SOE has been stated to envision Adults playing Free Realms with their children.

and it has a bunch of different things you can do(like playing Soccer, racing cars, demolition derby, a Trading Card Game and sh*t like that) and lots of minigames in it(even has Checkers, Chess, and a form of Tower Defense).

It's free to download and play on a limited basis(you can play each "Job" up to level 5), with a $5 a month membership fee that unlocks everything in the game. You launch it from your Browser, and the 2GB of game data is streamed to your computer in chunks(kinda like Guild Wars), there is no "client download" apart from the initial 65mb download to get started.

so far, it isn't too bad. it's got a really, really heavyhanded chat filter, but beyond that I haven't found any major gripes yet in the 2 days I've been playing.

the combat isn't very hard, and it is mostly instanced. If you've played a FF style RPG, you know how when you run up to an enemy on the world Map, the game opens a "Field" that your party fights on against a group of enemies, and then when the battle is over, you are returned to the world map?  Combat in Free Realms is kinda like that, only real-time and not turn-based). You click on the enemy you want to fight, and you are sent to a VERY LARGE instanced field filled with groups of enemies, and then you fight until they are all gone. and then you are transported out of the instanced field.

It's not a hardcore MMO by any means at all and it is generally easy combat-wise, but it's still pretty fun for the most part, and there is quite a variety of activities in the game. I'm sticking with the Combat for now, but the Card Game is pretty fun, as is the Soccer.

also, it works pretty well on Wireless Mobile Broadband, although at times you may encounter a lengthy data download due to the reduced speed of Wireless Mobile Broadband compared to regular cable modem.

Yea, I did that twice last year. One on One account where I have like 7 characters about 60 and then I did it on a new account with 3 other friends where I got like 4 above 60.

I'm trying to sell my first one since its the one I've had the longest and has 7 out of 10 classes above 60 so anyone can just get right in and do the remaining 20 levels but no one wants to buy / are scammers.

The second account I'll probably keep for some time.

Also, when I start to replay, maybe I'll join your server just to know someone with similar likings

Left 4 Dead 2 has a demo on PC and Xbox Live that just came out. The first game was sooo freakin fun.

NBA 2k10s my player gametype is really cool. I created a 3pt specialist SG that sucks lol. I'm in the D-League and its taking some time for me to get up. I want to play for the Wizards.

Just stumbled across an indie game called "Gratuitous Space Battles" that looks pretty neat.  Demo is only 50 MB, which is refreshingly small these days.  I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I plan to

Gratuitous Space Battles aims to bring the over-the-top explodiness back into space games. The game is for everyone who has watched big space armadas battle it out on TV and thought to themselves 'I could have done a much better job as admiral'.

The graphics look impressive for such a small game/independent developer.

Can't possibly be THAT much different than the other dozen or so CoD games, can it?

it's not much different, it's just a great follow up to MW. it's so much fun. they took a great game in MW and made it feel brand new even though it's essentially the same game.

the single player is really cool and the online is great. they added so many new unlocks/challenges that it just makes the replay value great

the single player (which i dont usually play) is really cool. i play on hardened and it's difficult. one mission i'm on has like 100 guys shooting at you in close quarters.

multiplayer is awesome as well. so much to unlock

it's pretty much the best Game Engine there is.

it's what Gears of War and Mass Effect, among other games, were made with.

and now amateur programmers/designers can get it for free and use it to create games.
