I posted earlier that starting tomorrow there will be football on for 6 of the next 8 nights. However, with few exceptions, local teams always seem better in preseason in their hometown than they actually are. I hope the Skins play as good as we all hope they do.
If they start out 0-2 (quite possible) people will be lighting torches.

1) they aren't making good pitches.

2) the broadcasters alluded to this before the game, they aren't getting any damn run support so they are pressing to make the perfect pitch which results in more walks and more homers to douchebag players.  This was Don Sutton who said this too, so it's not like it's coming from a Bob Carpenter or some crap.

playoffs in 2 of the last 4 years is solid for the nfl.

how is one-and-done a winner? My Steelers made the playoffs last year and won the division but I know the team played awful all year and was disappointed.

Snyder isn't a bad owner, but calling the Snyder Skins a "winner" is a joke. And making the playoffs doesn't mean you're a winner, ESPECIALLY in the NFC. if the skins make it past the first round ill call them a winner

.

If we are going to be good this year, I'd prefer that we go like 12-4 or something and coast our way into the playoffs rather than having to win every game down the stretch.

That might be for naught though, because most are predicting us to finish dead last in the division.

I completely agree with that. One can only wonder how much better our pitchers will be if they get a little run support every now and then.

a winner compared to this crappy organization.  a winner that usually competes in the toughest division of football year and year out.

have they won that division recently? competing in the toughest division doesn't make them a winner.

and everyone is a winner compared to this team

Balester just doesn't have it.  Let Clippard, Mock, and Zman start some games.

Sometimes they get run support and relax and crap their uniforms though.

Yeah look Balester's last start was a joke.  Tonight he hasn't been great, but has pitched well enough to win.  We should have 6 runs right now.  But no our offense is horrible.

Balester's given up a run unearned and by a fluke base hit. he's good, certainly better than mock's been in his starts and better than a guy who's in AA

Balester wasn't great tonight but if luck wasn't a factor he would have only given up 2 runs or so.

Don't even worry about it hammonds... When it comes to football, I find it difficult to lend much weight to anyone who likes these jokers.
