Detwiler deserves to be there.  But it is ESPN, so yeah, you've got a point...

For some reason, that list from ESPN doesn't recognize Detwiler as having played tonight.  I thought maybe because it was a doubleheader but that's not it because Cliff Lee is in the list.

I don't even know how this is possible.

http://espn.go.com/mlb/stats/dailyleaders/_/type/pitching/date/20110920

...and Ross Detwiler's total is higher than Kyle Kendrick's...if someone at ESPN added him to the list of starters today.  :?

The Os are featuring a story "Will anyone come close to Cal?"

I love Cal, but seriously.
Oh, and a game ahead of the Muts AND about 11 games ahead of the Baltimore Orioles.

Feel really good about next year if the owners/front office make the right moves in offseason.

Evolution was right.  #progress.

I know we aren't going to finish above .500, and we're playing a team in cruise control now, but man it sure was nice to win these two and know that we've got a real good chance of getting out of Philly without them guaranteeing us a sub-.500 season.

8-8 vs. the Phils on the season.  8-8.  2 games to take the season series.

St Louis down to the crappy mets right now 5-3, they're still fighting to get that wildcard spot, surely they should beat them

Two saves from Storen today and I won a ball he autographed on the bus ride home.  Not sure what to do with it though, I don't collect autographs, so I'll probably just let the kids play with it.

Just thinking...if the Nats sign Wang, and if Milone and Peacock and Detwiler improve, this team might only lack Joe Hardy or Bryce Harper. Hitting. When does Rendon start to play? Could he play part-time in AFL?

I think Rendon is going to be part-timing it in Arizona. He will probably spend all of 2012 in Potomac and Harrisburg, though, Harper-style.

I do think Harper will be in the majors 12 months from now. But every time he gets promoted, he does very poorly for a month before adapting, learning a lot of new lessons, and becoming an improved player.

So to all the haters who thought Davey Johnson was a moron for playing the kids in the first game and starting the big names against Cliff Lee, rather than surrendering the Lee game and focusing everything on Kendrick:

Do y'all feel stupid?

The phils also played a bunch of alternates.  they didn't have their primary team out there, which makes sense since their getting ready for next month.  But it was still nice to see the nats do something positive in September.  Next year is the year of the Nats.

That Philly cheese steak must have crawled up my ass and died.  Good thing my office mate already moved out or he'd be in for one crappy day.

I love giving them a taste of losing heading down their home stretch. Get them out of their rhythm heading into the play-offs. Let's get the sweep.
