x2, thanks for the insight Spinman.
Another side note of info which will be happening soon... The MLB players pay Union Dues. The Union is getting ready to Re- Negotiate their Bargaining agreement with the owners. The players at Spring training get a set amount of money back from the UNION licensing agreement. Every Player gets the same pro-rated amount. If Strasburg or Jeter sells the most Jerseys they will get the same amount as the 25Th man on the team. (Union Licensing rebate). Except for a few years before the Union negotiates. The union saves up the money for the players in case their is a strike. Its not the players fault if a deal is not done. Its all between the Union and the Owners. " If it doesn't make Dollars... it doesn't make sense" in the eyes of the owners/union. The players then Vote on the deal after getting the terms of the agreement from the Players rep for each team.
Most know this is how it works but I felt like refreshing myself about what is coming up.
