If I see Matt Stairs' name in the lineup tomorrow, I think I'm done.  Using Matt Stairs as your DH...or ever is a signal that Bud Selig should step in an take over the team.  Something is desperately wrong in the organization if Matt Stairs ever steps on the field wearing a Washington Nationals uniform again.

we probably don't want to hurt his feelings.

again it was so easy for rizzo to come in an axe daniel cabrera (who wasn't his guy), but for his guys like mock/stairs/etc he gives them so many chances.

stairs has what 2 hits this year?

Why isn't he throwing the splitter today?

Maybe it wasn't working in the pen.

Yeah, that might be it. Sucks. His curve/slurve isn't a very good pitch.

I think it's okay when he has the splitter working. As a 3rd pitch, it can play off the splitter.

Honestly, that curve is way too up in the zone. They keep calling it, but it keeps hanging.

As I type this he throws a splitter. It looked flat. Not like it looked the other night.

Losing to the Orioles is more embarrassing than losing to the Mets.

When will Rizzo go get a hitter? Or two?

The budget isn't flexible enough for that.

It's far more frustrating.

I was thinking the EXACT SAME THING FP.  Why was there a possibility of an Oriole player of the game yesterday but no Nationals player today?

Now reported by Slowes as throwing in the bullpen.

NO.

i have the next two days off and this is not the ideal way to start the weekend.  last night was great, but i wanted a win today so we could go into tomorrow free and easy.

Coming up in the ninth...Stairs??? Still? I'd rather have Pudge at DH. Or Livo. Or a reserve from Syracuse???

I know the feeling - I was one of the people who took Tuesday off for the Nats afternoon match that got cancelled over a 'rain threat' that never materialised. The Nats aren't doing too well in the time-off department these days.
