Where is everyone who was crying about the Bonafacio trade in April? Bonafacio is what he is.....a very average player who has some speed. We're not missing him

Mainly because Anderson Hernandez has been pretty good

My God.....Villone comes out and Tavarez comes in. When does the madness end?

Frying pan into fire. makes no difference.  Putting Tavarez in just seals the deal.

Villone is worse than Hanrahan.
pretty much. And he'll get a free pass because he's a "veteran".

look at the numbers Rizzo, Manny.

Villone in June: 9.2 IP 13 H 9 R 7 ER 1 HR 8 BB 9 K (1-5, 6.52 ERA, 2.17 WHIP)

5 Losses in one freaking month for a reliever!! That's unheard of.

It's moves like this that are so predictable and constant that demonstrate how bad Manny is at managing these games. It is this reason people want him gone. I'm tired of reading articles about the problem people have with him being that he doesn't throw chairs. It is this.

At this point...it doesn't really matter. It's sort of like deciding how to kill yourself. Gun? Poison? Jumping from a bridge?
yeah but putting Villone in gave us the worst chance. I would have rather seen Colome.

I already counted tonight's loss into the stats.

he was 1-4 with a 6.00 ERA in June coming into this game.

Lincecum is going to throw a CG.

My opponent will start the week with 2 pitching wins.
Nolasco may have just gotten me a win now.  If we're going to lose, to help Acta's Florida friends, it might as well profit me fantasy-wise.

Why did they change the name to Landshark Stadium?

new digs, retractable roof?

Natsaddict, we need an economy update in the Uncensored thread.  I don't know why the humongous deficit has had no effect on interest rates, and I have a CD expiring July 7th.  During the stock market's 40% slide in 2008, I was making 4.4% on CD's.

What was the point of Olsen's outing when it was ruined in less than an inning?  This is incredible.

There were some raising hell about that trade because Bonafacio was so hot in April. It was only a matter of time before he was going to cool off and become the real Bonafacio, which he did.

Uggla will hit a bomb now just because it's against the Nats, and that stuff happens to us.

Carpenter:  "Well Tavarez can't give up another run here."

Minty:  "Wanna bet?"

terrible. why do the young guys get sent out for walking too many batters but the "veteran" pitchers are allowed to walk a crap load of batters without repercussions?

Well, to be honest, there are three bullpen pitchers who should never be used in a close game, Hanrahan, Colome and Villone.  That sort of limits what he can do.   I can't imagine another team in baseball that has a 3 of 7 of their relievers are unusable.

I would have rather seen neither.  Bases loaded.

Would you say there are 3,000 in attendance?
I've looked at Cody Ross for fantasy for the HRs...

Not much of a beer drinker myself, but I've heard that Jimmy's concerts are way better than his beer.
