To me it's looks like "WHAT'S UP?!?  WOOOOOO!!!"

This would seem possible.

No, second word ends with the mouth closed, can't be "boy".  Could be "up", though.

To me it's looks like "WHAT'S UP?!?  WOOOOOO!!!"

You are both terrible at reading lips.

This would seem possible.

No, because contrary to your assertion he does not close his lips at the end of the second word.

He responded a few days ago with great uncertainty.  Does anyone know a deaf person?

If everyone would hover their mouse over the gif, they should see a tooltip.  Clearly the WNFF supercomputer has already solved this mystery for us :mg:

Did we ever find out what Smithian was saying in this:

:gunz:

To me it looks like, "Number oooooooo.....", and the clip ends before he gets to finish with "...ne".

Also, this is the first game where we don't have a #1 vs #1, #2 vs. 2...pitching matchup.  This is our #1 against their #5 though for the rest of the series  theoretically, it switches to their favor starting tomorrow with their #1 against our #2.

This series, this game, specifically, really should tell us a lot about where this team is.

It's the new WNFF game.  Smithian has to buy a beer for the person he judges to have the best guess.

Huh?

I dunno, aren't deaf people usually pretty good lip-readers?  Don't mean to offend anyone.

I actually disagree with you guys.  They're facing some random NL Central opponent.  I think the Marlins series will be much more telling.

Who they have historically underperformed against and gone into a tailspin after facing.  How we do against the Marlins will say more about our chances to legitimately contend in the division.  Facing the Astros is just a "is this team for real" kind of test.

Just my opinion of course.

Lolmatchup omfg

I tried to listen to 1580am on 295 north of town and got static mixed w weird drumbeats. I predict a radio audience of one weirdo for the zards game.

Well, I'm thinking that since they're 7-7 even if they get swept, it's hard to justify any feelings that they can't/won't contend this year even if they lose this series.
