Watch out for the Big East! These guys have seen most the competition this year and should, conference-wise, be the most ready for the tournament. It sure looks that way so far. I have Georgetown in the FF, but any of those teams could make it that far.

I chose them to win their first game.

I think American could be this year's "George Mason".    Final 4!  Yay.

Remember I always root for the underdog.  And American hasn't even been to the "big dance" in what over 80 years!

It's their first appearance...ever. I like your rooting for the underdog (I do that, too, sometimes), but the brackets are about choosing realistic winners. I'd have ND winning the Finals if I went w/ favorites, but the matchups just don't work in their favor.

You can see the percentage chosen in Sportsline contests by holding the mouse over the team for each matchup.  28.2% picked Kentucky to beat Marquette.  You can pull up each entry in our contest with the pull down part in the upper left "Show Picks for Player:"  You could print each page if your wanted.  I did that to get the Final Four picks, to save everyone the trouble.  By clicking on Standings and then the heading Best Score, it will sort by the maximum points each of us can still get.  It's updated about a minute after each game ends.  I've already dropped for picking Oral Roberts and Temple to win...

I'm 6 out of 8 (counting Stanford as a win).  I only had Kent St. and Kentucky winning their first games though so I'm in decent shape thus far.

What's fun about rooting for the under dog is you never know what's going to happen.  Awhile back who would have picked Maryland to be National Champs?  Who would have predicted George Mason in the Final 4!  No one!

On any given day, any team can beat any other team, that's what makes sports fun!

At this moment, 2k6nats and The Wookie (the 7-year-old girl, PaulLove (1)) have 100% correct.  I've been in contests with hundreds of entries before, where somebody always has a better combination.  With Opening Day approaching, and Washington now having the LARGEST scoreboard in MLB, here's a pick you NEVER want to make:

The records of ALL CBS Sportsline bracket contests show that the participants have picked these Round 1 upsets:

MIDWEST: 58.1% picked #10 Davidson to beat #7 Gonzaga
SOUTH: 55.3% picked #10 St. Mary's (CA) to beat #7 Miami (FL)
WEST: 61.7% picked #9 Texas A & M to beat #8 BYU

LOCALS
So far, 84.1% expect #5 Notre Dame to beat #12 George Mason, and
99.7% expect #2 Tennessee to beat #15 American
99.6% expect #2 Georgetown to beat UMBC

And within the first 5 minutes of the MONSTER Matchup of Kansas State and USC, Beasley is on the bench with 2 fouls and hasn't scored a point.

It's more like USC vs. Beasley. <laughing>

USC will win that one easily, IMO. Teams have figured out how to play K-State.

WRONG. i warned you about walker!!! 17 points for walker at the half. bill walker >>>>> oj mayo.

beasley + walker = most dominant duo in the country!!!

:woop: :woop: :woop: :woop: :woop: :woop: :woop:

now that beasley kept his foul total at 2, he can get into a rhythm and put usc away!!!

I hope you didn't just jinx them.  As I speak USC is on a 4-0 run to start the 2nd half.  :bang:

Belmont only down by 4 against Duke with 14:38 to go in the 2nd half.  Give these kids some credit even though they'll still probably lose by 15+

That's not exactly breaking news. That's the way it goes with Duke.

BELMONT UP 2 WITH JUST UNDER 11 MINUTES TO GO! Calm the hell down kids!! They are getting some crazy rebounds but they are forcing a lot of bad shots!

Beasley is a beast! His game is near next-level polished.

BELMONT. WON'T. DIE.

belmont is doing the damn thing against Duke.  I don't think they'll pull it off, but they are scaring the crap out of Duke fans right now.

Yep, he is unquestionably the best player in the Draft.  Miami is trying to tank to get him but I hope they get screwed in the lottery and someone like Minnesota gets the #1 pick.

Jesus Belmont.  They had like 6-7 shots in that one possession but couldn't score.
