shooting at Virginia Tech

CNN is reporting a police officer has been shot, along with one other person.  The campus is on lock-down.

police officer and one other person killed, reports are that that officer stopped a car and the shooting started.  Here's the tech campus newspaper's twitter feed:

Doesn't surprise me. I'd feel safer in Washington D.C during the late 80's than in that hell hole.

The scariest thing that happened when I lived in Bleaksburg was Sharkey's being out of Jack Daniels.  I leave and the next week all hell breaks loose.

It he's willing to work his ass off and really read to do engineering work (i.e. work his ass off) send him down to Blacksburg; he's got to be ready to work like a dog though.  Blacksburg is a great, great town that's had four unfortunate events take place over the past five years.  Four bad incidents in over almost 140 years of existence isn't bad.  Hell, it's better than what happened to those American Studies majors at Yale back in the mid-90s...

Campus was alerted and is on lockdown.  Altbough the person is still looze; no one else os hurt!
