They can't all be Rendons or Roarks. What's the 40-man at now?

It's at thirty-nine. Come on up, Wilmer!

Rizzo's folly.
It was worth the risk, IMO.

I am not surprised Purke flamed out considering his injuries. Still worth the risk.

It was the same process that brought them Giolito and Fedde. Danny Hultzen was supposed to be the safe pick and he'll probably end up never living up to expectations.

It's the same mentality that got them Rendon when other teams shied away.

Agreed. He was a third round pick and all they've lost is money.

Easy for you to say. Purke is set for life even with Boras fee deducted. How many of us would like 100,000 a year for 40 years with out getting out of bed.

How many of us wouldn't even notice that money missing from our accounts?

Isn't it less money than McLouth cost this year, for a similar contribution at the major league level? Things happen.

Ted and Mark didn't write the check out of their personal accounts . Nats are a stand alone business. They don't want to lose money on any of their assets.

Okay, you have to be either Aaron Crow or one of his agents.

I saw a new post in Purke's thread and immediately assumed that he got injured again.

He's less than a year out from tj, I doubt he's going to do much at ST.

Quote
Matt Purke generally same as early last year when I saw with Harrisburg; 89-92 with mild armside; fringe secondary; CH is firm #Nationals
