I pray every night that Bob will figure out some other way to say "got jammed" or "jam job"

he says a batter "got jammed" even if the pitch is on the outside part of the plate.

any time a batter hits a pop-up, regardless of how far outside the pitch was = jam job.

we're awful. Man that'd be sick if we went 3 games without scoring..

You know what is jammed? My finger every time the Nats fail to do anything offensive because I am slamming my labtop down on it over and over again.

with all the fuss about our pitchers, people fail to realize that ever since 2005, our primary problem as *always* been the offense.

we've *never* had an offense that could score enough runs to win on a regular basis.

Why stop there, we are capable of so much more.  Maybe we can go the whole series without a run.

very poor walk. Too many freaking off-speed pitches. You have to challenge hitters like Rivera with your fastball. Put it on a tee for him..

I feel like chainsmoking Reds is healthier than watching the Nats right now.

I wonder if Lannan would pitch better if giving up one run didnt equate to a loss.

I don't know about that, I smoked 3 reds in a row one time and threw up for days because of the gunk in my lungs.  The Nats only make me throw up every time Debbi Taylor is on the screen and that is only momentary, usually confined to my mouth.

That is his only problem, I feel.  He has five pitches and he has proven that he can get guys out with strikes when he attacks.  The nibbling leads to the walks, which if you look at it historically for him, is where his troubles always begin.

Lannan at 50 pitches through 3 (16.6/inning).  Lannan is amongst the best in the NL in pitches per inning at 15.9/IP.  The top 3 are Maddux (13.6), Hudson (14.1), and Cook (14.2)

Lannan is one of the few pitchers we have that does not, as sportsfan would put, "roll over" when he gets in trouble.
