It sucks, but it's definitely better than only getting 5 or 6 guys on base the whole game like we did all season last year.

How many of them were from the Fisherman, Jose Flores?

Man, he blows.  Might be time to think about sending him down for a bit.

is everyone missing the fact that Kearns only had to make that throw because he dropped that ball like a retard?

Whoever caught that HR ball threw it back.  Unfortunately for him, he'll be thrown out of the park as it's against Nats policy to throw things onto the field.

No they didn't, everyone missed it and it short-hopped off the step in the aisle and caromed back onto the field.

I'm sure glad we've got the cow inseminator batting, and not Dukes.

Good call. I turned around and saw it bouncing back on the grass.

No he went in for the the tough shoe string catch and then hustled after the ball. keep complaining about guys trying to make plays. Elijah Dukes is not the only guy on this team.

He didn't take him out for defense.  He took him out because he's really short in the pen, and needed to double switch.

It sucked that it didn't work, but it's a defensible move.

it was a double switch to preserve the overworked bullpen, NOT A DEFENSIVE REPLACEMENT

It wasn't dumb. It's not an easy play to make that catch when the ball is dive down to the ground in front of you. If he stops to take it on the bounce, he gets nailed for lack of hustle. If he dives and misses, he can't recover. He made the attempt and then stayed with the ball.
