Good thing for us...means we didn't lose anything out of this.  Now all we have to do is start all over tommorow...with Livan on the mound we should be in good shape.

Don't look now, but teams are creeping up in the wild card chase. 4  teams teams bunched between 6 1/2 and 7 games behind us (and the Cubs at 8 back).  We need to bank some wins.

Look it's a loonnnnggggg season.  We aren't going to stay in first the entire time.  I suspect this is going to be a dog race all the way to the end.  We will drop-off...then catch-up....drop-off and catch-up again.  We'll have losing streaks...and there will be times in which we look unstoppable.  Until we drop to like 8 games behind, I'm gonna remain excited that we're still in the hunt.  Something nobody expected before now.

It is also too early to start playing scoreboard baseball.  We have to take care of our business.

lol, as soon as the nats slide out of first, there will be so many people sayin "i told you so" to every nats fan.

good to see the braves lost, but today were against sheets, who has won 3 straight with a 4-1 record and a 2.42 era in his last 7 starts.

I'll take Livan's stats over Sheets any day:

Livan Hernandez: 19 games; 12-3, 3.48 ERA, 78Ks and 134.1 innings pitched
Ben Sheets: 13 games; 5-6, 3.41 ERA, 77 Ks and 87 innings pitched
