Hill's got good stuff but he looks real clueless out there.  You just cannot give up hits to the #8-9 guys in the NL.  It will kill you every time.  You could say that we have lost yesterday and today just because we can't get the opposing catcher and pitcher out.

beautiful.. Perez smokes an RBI single.  We are ******* pathetic.  Hill is getting dominated by the #8-9 hitters just like Redding
but st claire is the best pitching coach in baseball. He has a greaty plan for the 8th and 9th hitters. i dont know what it is but its the best.

and the non called 3rd strike seals the game.

1 run deficit is somewhat manageable, 2 runs...forget about it.

And they can believe what they like. That doesn't change the fact that Nats fan highly covet mediocre pitching because basically, that's all we have ever known. This team really hasn't had a pitcher that has "stuck". Hill is the closest thing to that right now but only because he's been sitting on the DL and we can't toss a player on the DL.

I figure this time next year it will be nothing but our youngsters and guys we haven't gotten yet in the starting roles.

Oh, I agree with you. It's just that at this point, I've seem some of our "#4 and #5" guys pitching better than what some teams consider to be their aces. My point is that present-day performance is more important than what someone has done in the past or what someone has been labeled.

I could see Hill, Lannan, and Redding still in the rotation next season w/ the addition of a good free agent and one of our younger guys. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

He's just awful.  His hitting is National-esque.

but st claire is the best. he probably sits with every pitcher before the game and tells them "I dont want David Wright to beat us, so let the #8 and 9th hitters do that."

This team has no heart.  Just Pena's tears of despair.

Now Kearns is up .203  and counting. the good news is, since he has a hit, he can never get down to 0

Zimm has more infield hits than all other hits this year.  That is terrible.
