Yeah, what an ace he is.. Gives up a hit to the awful hitting #8 hitter and then hangs a breaking ball to a pitcher..

It's so weird that Brett Myers, the Phillies OPENING DAY STARTER, has been demoted to the bullpen.

In case you actually thought I was serious: I wasn't.  I was being totally sarcastic.  That was pitiful.

COme on yall. QUit being so negative. Every pitchers makes a bad decision. its only one run. pitchers do give up one run. Wait till starts os over befoer you start criticizing or at least until he total self-destructs and gives up a 4 run inning.

Kearns hit a hard liner up the middle and it deflected off of Eaton's pitching hand and then rolled into the infield grass behind the mound.  Eaton is alright though. Ugh, Church flies out.

Close but no cigar for Church...  that's pretty much it for this inning with Schneider and Bergmann coming up :(

Willis gave up 3 ER's and 1 unearned run to the Mutts in the 1st inning... right after I traded him to NOTLD in the Forum Fantasy league.

I know Church is arugualbly our best and most dangerous hiter rihgt now, but i think we should've went small ball offense after Kearns' hit. That way we at least get one run, cuz Schneider is good at tgettin sacrafice flys. Chruch shiould've bunted the runner overs

I see what you're saying, but with Church not being a great bunter and Young being kinda slow, I think it was smart to let him swing away, give him a chance to get some RBIs

I concur.  I think a little small ball and a tie game would do a lot for our guys confidence.  Getting two guys on and swinging for the fences reeks of "Oh my god if we don't take a huge lead now, we might not score any more runs this game."

On the other hand I'll happily take runs from Schneider!
