Stras and Gio are both wilting in the heat of the pennant chase

Stras is approaching the most innings he's ever pitched in a season.  It's his first full season after surgery.  People that were somehow expecting him to be effective for 200 innings all the way through the playoffs need to lay off the ganja.

So, they stopped the game in Atlanta because of rain but didn't stop the game here where we led 9-0 in the 6th inning? I thought rain delays in MLB were passe.

Looks like you forgot DeRosa gives each player a +10 chemistry and morale boost.

Forgive my ignorance, I also forgot the H-Rod throws a 100 and our catcher calls a good game.

Rodriguez shouldn't be here.  He's an extra bullpen pitcher that we can't use so we send down a position player that we need.

I was talking about the prospects that people seem hesitant to trade for absolutely nobody.  They're hailed as the "future of the franchise" yet the future is already on the field.  They're expendable for an elite player.

Most of our elite prospects aren't tradable now - Rendon and Purke for two.  I wouldn't preclude trading anyone for the right price but I agree with Rizzo that anybody we get needs to be a long term asset, not a short term stop gap.  Buy long, sell short.

We are up in 231. Do I see the vice-president and Mrs. Biden about five rows behind home plate?
