In Ohio it used to be ypu could only drink beer with 3.2 % alcohol if you were 18.  I wonder if this stuff tastes similar?  College kids had a nickname for it... 3.2 pisswater!

When I was in he Army, stateside posts in North Carolina (Bragg) could only serve 3.2 beer. Hence the exodus off the post (plus for the 'ladies').

Drinking from a fresh growler of Tupper's India Ink from Mad Fox tonight.

Mad Fox is promoting a Baseball and Beer night coming up in a few weeks so I asked about the details.  They are serving food from cities of recent World Series winners.  I expressed my complete lack of interest.

I wish I had met you there.  2IPAs and I find the food at MadFox to be just as good as the beer

I've been meaning to go there for an eternity but we finally made it today.  My wife liked it enough to want to put it on our regular rotation.  How are the Steak Frites (sp?), I wanted a steak but it sounded to fancy to pay the price for a lunch dish so I settled for a sandwich.  I'm sure the pizzas are good but we already get Dominos, Fireworks, Primos, Flippin, and Valentinos on a regular basis so we're really not looking for another spot.

We go there more for dinner than lunch.  I liked the streak frites, but not as much as the fish & seafood dishes.

Had one of these at the park yesterday... Not very strong, and sweeter than I was expecting... but beer is beer.

You can get it at the Gluten Free stand in 139.

It's an anheuser-Busch product- I wouldn't expect strong, and sweet would probably indicate incomplete fermentation

Haven't seen any absolutely brand-new entries this year as yet, but Pilsner Urquell draught is once again available in the 300's (Base Line Brews behind section 315, inner concourse).

Of course, for such a bland name it's one of their best commonly available beers.  I would have drunk them all night if not for Blue dragging me off to the seats.

It's really something to try for anyone who likes a zippy dark beer or likes an IPA

I was drinking a can of Beck's yesterday and noticed that it's now brewed in St Louis (Beck's has since 2002 been part of InBev, the company that recently acquired Anheuser-Busch) - did a bit of checking and found that, sadly, that's where all of the Beck's sold in this country is coming from now (http://www.stltoday.com/business/columns/lager-heads/beck-s-to-be-brewed-in-st-louis/article_9aac4748-0f00-11e1-b57e-0019bb30f31a.html).

Stilll tastes OK on its own merits (at least they apparently aren't doing like Lowenbrau did in the late 1970's and changing the recipe completely for the US market)...but still....

Anyone ever have magic hat? Stuff is pretty good in its own right.

I have grown weary of the big beer companies. I will drink their "microbrews" that they own but I refuse to drink Bud Light, Miller, or even Coors Light anymore. Just doesn't taste good to me.

Be careful, magic hat is like a gateway drug- a couple of years from now, you'll be downing imperial IPAs opining on chinook hops
