Mark Zuckerman ‏@MarkZuckerman
Edwin Jackson's fastball has averaged 94 mph this season. Was 89-92 during that 5-run 1st inning. Also was down last start in Baltimore.

freak it, he may as well just throw a no hitter. Two straight series ending debacles, first one in Baltimore and this one in Colorado.

Matchup for the division this weekend. Detwiler vs Delgado tomorrow.

Time to start icing after starts?

It's been like that all season. Zuckerman is an idiot. He always starts slow with his velocity and then gradually bumps it up as he gets more warmed up.

Boz asking same question on Twitter.

Is he also of the idiot variety?

Strasburg vs Minor Saturday should be a guaranteed win.

I've watched all his starts. And I watched him carefully in Baltimore 6 rows from the field. He hit as low as 87 on his fastball in the 1st inning and gradually by the 3rd-4th he's throwing 92-94 and can touch it higher when he needs it.

He paces himself unlike Wei-Yin Chen that night who was throwing 94 MPH out of the gate and fizzled out in the early innings.

I was afraid of a blowout win fooling everyone into thinking all of our problems were fixed.  Our offense came alive for TWO games.  We had, what, 7-8 bad games before that?  And how many games has our offense been shut down this season?  And today's not starting off very well.  Of course, Eckstein is now a "genius" so he's not going anywhere...

If you're going to dismiss our blowout wins as a fluke, you also have to attribute a blowout loss as a fluke. It's baseball. Games like this and the past few days in our favor, happen over the course of a 162 game season.

That's unfortunate. This game is just as important. Our lead will be trimmed to 2.5 games after Atlanta beats up on Trevor Bauer tonight in his debut.

Wow he's really bending over. But anyone with internet access could have told you that Edwin was going to get ass raped today.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Bauer do well tonight. Only guy who has faced him before is Andrelton Simmons, the current Braves SS who has been phenomenal lately.

Tells you how good Edwin has been this year.

Gives up 7 runs in two innings and he still has an ERA of 3.52.
