I wanted to go out on a limb with either HRod or BBrod. I think Ramos will be an all star but that BA is a joke of course. I think 30 doubles is not an insane prediction.

Wins:  74
Losses:  88
NL East Standing:  4th (because, thankfully, the Mets are terrible)

HR Leader and #: Zimmerman 31 (Werth will lead in doubles and have a great season, though)
RBI Leader and #: Zimmerman 94 (Zimm hitting behind Werth and hopefully improved Desmond (and some leadoff hitter who will still suck) means more RBI opps)
Runs Leader and #: Zimmerman 85 (Because he will get on base more than everyone else and score by accident...or by a Morse home run)
Average Leader and #: Zimmerman .294 (did you know Guzman was third on the team in BA last year?  Shows how much that matters.)
SB Leader and #:  Desmond 21 (Because I'm hoping Morgan doesn't run enough to lead the team in SB)

Wins Leader and #: Hernandez 10 (only because he'll throw 20% more innings than everyone else; and I think Zimmermann will get shut down at around 150-175 innings)
Saves Leader and #: Burnett 15 (or something...who cares?)

Team MVP: Zimmerman
Post-season Awards: Zimmerman, Gold Glove, Silver Slugger
Team All-Star(s): Zimmerman; maybe Werth, but I doubt it - we won't have enough wins to get more than one all-star (true story)

Is Riggleman managing at the end of the season:  Yes; not necessarily with the Nationals, though

Is Harper called up before season's end?  Yes (but I don't know if he'll get ANY playing time - like, at all.  Just to be around the clubhouse)

Does Strasburg make a start?  I hope not.  No point in rushing him back for a couple of extra tickets.

Does Teddy finally win a race?  No.  I think he'll win one the day after the Nationals clinch a postseason spot.  Else, never.

I'm not a fan of batting average, RBI, R, W, or saves.  I'd much rather predict a slash line.  Also, we all know that Zimmerman is going to be great (or, to hedge our bets, good at least).  We know that Werth is going to be somewhere between good and great.  What I think is more interesting is how Morse, Espinosa, LaRoche, Desmond, et al. will perform.  Also, I want to know if Zimmermann can stay healthy for the whole year and pick up where he left off in 2009.  Other than that, I don't care much about wins and losses as a team just yet.  That's a concern for next season.

Wins:  65
Losses:  97
NL East Standing: Tied for 4/5th with the Madoff Mess

HR Leader and #:  Morse, 30* or Zimmerman, 28
RBI Leader and #:  Zimmerman, 92
Runs Leader and #: Desmond, 100
Average Leader and #: Zimmerman, .298
SB Leader and #: Morgan, 32^, Espinosa, 20

* Assumes Morse starts in LF the entire season and isn't traded
^ Assumes Morgan isn't released or traded

Wins Leader and #: Livo, 10
Saves Leader and #: Storen, 15

Team MVP:  Zimmerman
Post-season Awards:  Silver Slugger
Team All-Star(s): Storen or Burnett

Is Riggleman managing at the end of the season:  Yes

Is Harper called up before season's end?  No, struggles in AA keep him down on the farm

Does Strasburg make a start?  Yes and it's ugly

Does Teddy finally win a race?  No

BONUS PREDICTIONS: Werth is a miserable bust, HRod gets his asskicked twice by Dan "MET Rx" Uggla, we use 16 starters this season, we get beat senseless by the Marlins all season long, Morgan posts an OBP lower than his BA, FP does well until August and then becomes Rob Dibble 2.0.

OVER-THE-TOP-YOU-CANT-WRITE-THIS-crap PREDICTIONS: Oliver Perez gets signed and makes two disastrous starts, Mark Lerner does the Electric Slide after we break a 20 game losing streak,  Screech goes nuts and beats the Bird's brains in during the "Battle of the Beltways", I get invited to to close out a 24-0 blowout with the Pissburgh Irates, Susan O'Malley become Chief Marketing Officer

I actually had 60-102 but decided to be a bit more charitable.  Didn't want to be Linty2.0.

Wow there are some pretty dire predictions in here.  65 wins is a lot worse than last season.  59 wins is a lot lot worse.  So much went wrong last season - I can't see how all that same stuff goes wrong again and have it get even worse.

I think the only way we touch those numbers are if we are dealing with a Zim injury.  Even Werth or LaRoche we can weather because we have some outfield depth and Morse's big bat.
