Livan Hernandez, RHP (3-5, 5.35)
Hernandez held the Dodgers hitless through four innings in his last outing before giving up a bloop single in shallow left field to Willy Aybar. The right-hander lasted seven innings for his third consecutive start. Opposing hitters have not homered off of Hernandez in his last three starts.

VS.

Cory Lidle, RHP (4-4, 4.92)
Lidle topped the 100-pitch plateau for just the second time this season in his last start -- a no-decision against the Brewers. Lidle gave up a two-run homer to the second batter of the game, but escaped much more damage thanks to double-play balls in each of the first four innings. Lidle's final totals were four earned runs on seven hits and five walks on a night when he admitted to a lack of control of his changeup and his curve. Lidle allowed four earned runs in seven innings in his only start against the Nationals this year -- a loss on April 18.

i dont think vidro is a leadoff hitter- so your suggesting to move sori back down to 3 - so clayton should lead off - not too bad

I don't like Clayton leading off, but i would like for Sori to be batting 3rd. He's our best hitter and rbi guy

Frank already said that Sori will lead off the rest of the season.  So we'd have to get rid of Frank.  8)  Sori leads the team in steals, so if he singles, he can steal his way to 3rd base.  We need to hit him in.  Vidro leads the team hitting into DP's and has constantly been thrown out in dumb baserunning moves.  I think I'd go Soriano-NJohnson-Zimmerman-Vento.

I don't see why Vidro can't be leadoff. Its not like he's very productive when theres men on the base. He only has 10 extra base hits all season long. He's the ideal leadoff candidate. He gets on and thats it. So most of his hits are when nobodys on the base.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. Livan isn't a groudball out pitcher.

sori is our best leadoff hitter - so we should start Sori, Vidro. the Q is: who bats 3rd? right now with Guillen out, i say go with Sori, Vidro, Zimm and NickJ and when Guillen comes back, either have Guillen 3rd or 5th

Worse - he gets thrown out on stupid baserunning decisions.  Then nobody is on base.  He seems to choke with runners on.  I'd even think of batting Vidro 8th.  If you have someone on 3rd with 2 out, Vidro can single.

You must really have a problem with Clayton being so high in the lineup. He hasn't done too bad at the number 2 batter slot. He's been more productive there than at that number 7 spot.

exactly thats why i thought he'd feel more comfortable at the leadoff spot.
