this is a GREAT start (knock on wood) but let's see him face a real offense before we declare him cured.

An offense that has dominated and pwned the Natinals during the entire Actavation era is a real offense, for our purposes.

Lets see Zim-with-1-N hit a HR against another real team...
Kasten now running promo commercials for Chipper Jones coming to DC...
no shame, but at least he's on my fantasy team.

Pathetic offense.

...and now let the blaming of the pitching begin...

freak it, I'd let Nolasco hit here and pitch the 9th if I was Fredi. The Nats aren't touching him.

4 hits and 0 walks in 8 innings.

Villone isn't even near the plate with those first three pitches.  This isn't going to be good....

Villone for the loss. Thanks Manny.

How is it that the WNFF posters are smarter than Manny Acta?

Villone 1-4 with a 6.00 ERA in June and Acta trots him out in the bottom of the 8th of a 2-2 game. not even to a face lefty either.

so bad. I can't believe there are managers this stupid.

My fantasy opponent has Cy young winner, Tim Lincecum, and Rich Harden, ChC starting tonight.  Nolasco beat them on ERA so far.

Pitcher     IP     PC   H   ER  BB  K
Nolasco    8.0   106   4   2   0   8
Olsen       7.0     94   6   2   0   7

Where is everyone who was crying about the Bonafacio trade in April? Bonafacio is what he is.....a very average player who has some speed. We're not missing him.

seriously, why in the hell did Villone start that inning? Other than Joel he is pitching the worst out of anyone in the pen.

I don't like Tavarez but he should have started that inning.

At this point...it doesn't really matter. It's sort of like deciding how to kill yourself. Gun? Poison? Jumping from a bridge?
