He's having a pretty damn solid season for a catcher.
He enjoys Nationals pitching. 9/19 with 2 HRs, 2 Doubles, and 7 RBIs against us this year.

At least offensively.  He's one of those guys that catching is just something to do between at-bats, versus a guy like Brian Schneider, a guy where hitting is just something to do between innings behind the dish.

I forgot that Durham got traded. Their current lineup is almost as bad as ours now.

These early deficits are like death to this team. Once a starter gives up a few early runs the entire team mails it in for the rest of the game. They should have lit up Correia tonight but now they'll probably be too distraught to muster any offense after being put in another early hole.

I think the problem is that we have too many middle to bottom of the rotation arms. I can't think of one pitcher that is worthy of being considered a number 2, I'm not even going to pretend we have a number 1 anywhere in our organization (and Lannan is NOT a number 1 or 2).

I think Lannan and Zimmermann have #2 potential but yeah other than that we have a bunch of #3-5 starters. This is why it is so important to sign Crow and hopefully get Strasburg next year. Both of those guys have ace potential.

freaking stupid as crap. Lead-off single and then 2 consecutive one-pitch outs. Do we want to score runs or not?

I hate to say it, but Lo Duca has actually been hitting well since returning from his injury.

I don't think Balester has the stuff to stick, and we don't even know if Zimmermann can handle the majors yet.

Projecting Zimmermann as a number 2 next season is a bit optimistic (I prefer delusional) isn't it?  Unfortunately, I think Hill is probably the only one that may project to a number 2 and he may never pitch for us or anyone else again.
