Bring in Levale Speigner, who beat him in Minnesota in 2007 as our Rule 5 player.  It would freak out Santana, deja vu all over again.  And play the Psycho score in the dugout, with Dukes humming along...

I'd gladly trade away the whole batch of rotten eggs for a fresh dozen. The bullpen sucks.

And WTF is Cintron doing on an MLB roster?

The bullpen sucks except for Beimel.  I'd keep Tavarez too for long relief/righty specialist.

Cintron is on the team because the team has inadequately addressed the SS position in the farm system.  They pinned their hopes on Ian "Jeter" Desmond and Esmailyn "Alvarez" Gonzalez.  Desmond never lived up to his potential and has been marred by injuries the last two seasons.  Gonzalez, well we all know what happened there.  Last year, they drafted Espinosa, but he is about all we got as far as depth.  The shortstops we have at Syracuse and Harrisburg (Bynum and Martinez) are not going to be better than Cintron, I can guarantee that.  With Guzman injured, all of our depth is Alberto Gonzalez at SS.  Cintron is on the team, because, quite frankly, he is the best option and that is sad.

Beimel blew one for this team earlier in the season already. Ship all the freakers off. I am just so fed up with this bullcrap bullpen.

Every reliever blows a game now and then.  He has put this team in the position to win and done his job every game except for one.  He has only walked one batter.  That is pretty damn good in my book and exactly what you want from a bullpen guy.

He bet his account we would win when it was tied 0-0. I'm guessing he wanted to leave and thought it would make a splash this way.

He's probably still pissed about the whole thread move thing and thought this would be a good way to mess with everyone.

I find it ironic because he was one of the ones that never believed in jinxes or superstitious stuff, yet he bet his account of the fact that we would win because he was in the game thread.  Sorry to see him go... c'est la vie

I rejected his deletion request.  If he wants to leave that's fine but deleting the account would be pointless and just screws up the forum stats.  In fact I'm just going to disable the option for users to delete their own accounts.  I'm not sure why I ever thought it would be a good idea.

If spider just wants to own up to a bet then I can ban him for a while if he would like.  He's welcome to PM me about it.

iluvryanzimmerman deleted her account, but the posts remain, with "guest: under her name.
I assume that spidernat will now be posting as "AnnieSavoy" or iluvdebbitaylor, because of some bet.

Quote
"I thought we should have turned it, no excuses," manager Manny Acta said. "We had plenty of time with the runner that hit the ball and it was a hard come-backer. That came back to haunt us."

Three walks later the Braves score the only the run of the game and the Nationals end up on the losing end of a 1-0 score.

If Cintron makes the play, the Nationals are out of the inning and they are probably still playing as I write this at 10:10 p.m.

"It was a hit and run play and I held my ground. I probably should have jumped and made the throw, but he was right on me and I threw wide." Cintron said.

These are the type of plays that losing teams don't pull off.

Washington easily could've been 7-1 on the homestand, but they finish with a 3-5 record and fall to 3-11 on the season.

Man, you really are headstrong.  First the whole "sorry, you're on ignore!" routine, now you're some kind of Santa Claus-like being who tells us mortal posters if we're on the naughty or nice list
