These two seem mutually exclusive :icon_mrgreen:

In some cases, all you have to do is wait long enough.

Braves Tim Hudson has been tough vs. the Nats.
I got this from Gameday on mlb.com:

As for Hudson, he thrives anytime he gets on the mound. He is 8-1 with 1.55 ERA in 13 career starts against the Nationals. He has allowed one run or fewer in 10 of these outings...

:wtf:

I led the call for Kennedy to get his first beachball, dude

I was going to shoot you down because Desmond has been doing well, and I don't mind him hitting near the bottom with Pudge.  But I hadn't realized his numbers were so much better up top.  Relax and take the compliment.
Or 8th.  Small numbers, of course.  Less of the freaky BABIP / less luck at 8th than 2d.

Desmond has been hitting breaking balls better lately.  It is no coincidence either.  That "old school" managing method of letting a guy work his way up the lineup is actually a great way of letting hitters get adjusted to major league breaking balls and other junk.  Start him off in the 2 hole and he is going to think he could get away with hitting just fastballs all year.  With that said, it is looking like it is about time to let him take his rightful spot near the top of the order.

Lefties give the Braves trouble at times.  I expect Olsen to have a decent outing.

Now, scoring of Hudson, that will be tough.

the thing that worries me is that capps probably isn't available, so we need a big lead or it's going to be a struggle to get to clippard who I'm assuming will close.

He'll be able to go an inning if it's a tight game and we've got the lead at the end.

Good point ... Olsen pitched one of his best games last season against the Braves.

8.2 IP, 8 H, 3 ER (2 in his last batter faced), 5 K in a 5-3 win

Well, if there's ever a good chance to beat the Braves... a lineup without Heyward and McCann is probably the best you can ask for.

Ugh, I HATE it when our pitchers start the game with a ball.
