With Livo up tomorrow, I'm not confident about taking this series.

The houston radio broadcast are hinting rasmus might be on his way to DC, calling Ramos , Ramus.  :mg:

Damn, painful loss.  If bad JZim doesn't show up tonight, this is an easy win.

Not going to cut it. Wasting valuable chances to go over .500. They are content with mediocrity apparently.

Nothing a series win tomorrow doesn't cure, I guess.

We lost to a pitcher that has 11 losses and had given up 5 ER in each of his last 4 starts.

JZ was the worst I've seen all year. Didn't help certainly but the offense left a ton of runs on the board.

Livo has thrown a lot of BP lately. Another loss to Houston and the Nats fall into the seller category.

What about the players that are here? What is their excuse? They are capable of more but like this mediocrity bullcrap. You can't lose to the Astros, especially in the fashion that they did tonight.

jordan zimmermann had his worst game of the year.  it's unfortunate but it happened.  even the best aces in baseball have it.

that hurt and we left a lot of guys on base and then coffey gave up a run as well.  our crappy team lost to an even more crappier team.

Tonight, proved there is no situation where you can have an expectation that this team to win.  It's always hit or miss, mostly miss.

This team could lose with four of a kind.

This team is better than in years past but not ready to be a play-off contender.  They don't have all the parts they need.  Maybe next year or the following.....but not now.  Still most games are exciting and close and fun to watch.

The worst for me is watching perfectly good hitters watching called 3rd strikes in pivotal situations. Swing damnit, you might even hit the thing!!

He was hit with a line drive.  I'd like to see a change in effectiveness in Coffey, whose becoming the Werth of the pitching staff

Totally agree with Coffey.  Coffey is toast.

Seems like the Nats had a bunch of bad breaks tonight.  THat play by Carlos Lee to throw out Hairston was crazy good.  Plays the ball perfectly off the wall, bare hands it, and throws a strike to second base?  Lee was probably blacked out while making the play and only came to his senses after Hairston was called out.

Hopefully we get some breaks go our way today.

Werth showed some signs of life, at least.  But he still looks a bit wide eyed and nervous at the plate.
