Mods, if this info is being tracked elsewhere, please close.

On ESPN now:
Stanford vs. N. Carolina

Nats picks:
Standford:  Bret Mooneyham, LHP
N. Carolina: Gregory Holt, RHP

Note: Neither are pitching at this point.

Edit: I spaced that Mooneyham was injured all year and not playing.

These Nats draftees are still alive in the NCAA tourney.  (just a bit of nit picking from someone who worked at the event for several years, it's not techincally the CWS until they make it to Omaha, they're in the Super Regional round of NCAA tournament, fyi.)

Kyle Ottoson - Arizona St.
Greg Holt - North Carolina
Brian Moneyham - Stanford
Bryan Harper - South Carolina
Taylor Hill - Vandy
Tyler Thompson - Florida
Dixon Anderson - Cal
Todd Simko - Texas A&M

My bad, DPO, on jumping the gun on CWS.

On ESPN, Tyler Thompson (Florida) is playing LF and batting 6th.

Taylor Hill vs Greg Holt tonight, big game. Both Nats draftees starting

Both are senior RHPs who should be bargains for impressive #Nats #mlbdraft class with Rendon, Purke, Meyer, former UNC OF Brian Goodwin

Hill has a live arm. He's hit 93 quite a few times and his fastball sits at 91 comfortably. Nice, clean delivery, too.

Hill seems to be a potential back of the rotation guy (#5 starter) while Holt probably profiles better as a reliever

Agreed.

Hill definitely wasn't drafted only because he'd sign quickly. He has some promise.

SEC baseball sounds like it was incredible this year.  what is is about eastern divisions, too?

I know it sounds funny but I've got to say, when I hear Hill plays for the Commodores, I wonder if he know Nicole Richie.

Had a great time at the game.  Company was outstanding, and met some really nice people from South Carolina who made the trip up.  Honestly, the game was a bit of a clunker through the first 7 but got really good late.  Lots of fun.  Good atmosphere.  The new park is gorgeous.  I wanted so badly to hate it, but I can't, it's a really nice place to watch a game.
