Really?  Giving up 4 runs in 5 innings to the filth the Mutts ran out tonight is good enough?

The Mets only scored 4 runs in 9 innings.

They called it an error?

I thought Tejada looked like he was going to throw to left by spinning the wrong way after stopping the ball.  Still should have been a hit.

Do these asian pitchers annoy any of you?  All of them has rediculous deliverys and idk for some reason it bothers me to watch it.

That's exactly what makes them MORE interesting to watch, then everyone throwing the same way all the time.

Back in the day, American pitchers too had diverse and unusual motions, often developed in sandlot ball in their home towns, before being "discovered".  Now, pitching instruction is so uniform and generic, that the individuality is lost.  Asian pitchers attempt to disrupt the timing of a batter through making their motions less consistent from pitch to pitch.

Was there ANY DOUBT that Pudge would end the game by hitting into a double play?  WHY put him in to pinch hit?

GAME OVER.  WE LOSE.

There is a reason no team goes 162-0, hitting isn't going to happen every night. Baseball is such a tough sport and hitting is one of the most difficult tasks in all of sports.

No clue. Four away from team record, though.

Really really would have been nice to Morse batting there.

The Nats at least made a game of it.  I'm pretty happy with Maya though I'll be looking for a much smoother start next time around.  If that were Olsen pitching, he would've gotten angry and given up 7 or 8 by the 2nd inning.  Maya showed some good composure and a pretty solid repertoire of pitches.

I hope so.  I think it was just nerves at first.  A few more starts should start to show better what he is capable of.

Four hits; three by pinch-hitters. Not much more to say...although Maya looked good enough after the first couple of innings.
