That worked out pretty well in the end though as we got nice comp'd tickets to a game during the next homestand.

Sorry PB for the name switch.  :-[ And it certainly did work out in the end. Thanks again!!

Awww Man!  That's horrible.  I'll try to be there.  Lets just say that the cap I wear will light up the place a little bit!

I made it into the game.  Luckily I had the Section/Row and seat numbers so I was able to flag them down.  I made it in for the game!

Glad to hear it. I had read your posts earlier and thought about you a couple times tonight, afraid your night had been ruined. I can't imagine going to a game and then being stuck without tickets. Not the worst thing that can happen to someone surely, but it's an experience pretty much everyone could do without having to go through. Out of curiosity, was the fault on the Caps side of things or did Catseye mess up accidentally?

I think the fault ultimately lies with me.  If I had been more assertive and asked the right questions I would've been in an hour before the puck dropped.

Anyway, let's talk about tonight.  Fado at 7:00 p.m. for those interested.  Now, I walked up seventh from E last night and didn't see if Fado was still there.  Is it?  Or should we try this RFD place as a backup?

I've never been but 808 7th street would be between H & I. North of the Phone Booth.

I called, they're still open.

I might be up to an hour late, but will be there.  Carlfish said he's 90% sure he'd be there, look out for him too.

We could also try the Hawk and Dove...  Ben Goessling's gonna be there tonight watching the Packers/Falcons game.

I did a whole lot of underage drinking at the Tune Inn.  Of course the drinking age was seldom enforced anywhere in DC in those days.

It looks like Minty has positives from SaltyDad, GBurgNats, CALSGR8, Blue911, TomTerp, and me so far.  It might be a touch late to switch venues, but I suppose if those folks all check in and say they can switch to Hawk and Dove, and someone can say what metro it is near, before say 5:00, and everyone knows to check here by 5, Minty could do a switch.  My sense it is probably too late and might as well stick with Fado.  Minty's call.

Good call JCA - let's all check back here at 5 and if we don't have confirmation posts from every person listed we'll stick with Fado.

On the Metro now - heading to the American Indian museum.

I may need to know before 5.  With the Orange line single tracking and having to take the bus around Foggy Bottom.

It's nearly 4:00 now so we're probably looking at Fado, but for those who don't know, The Hawk and Dove is on Penn Ave between 3rd abd 4th (IIRC) and is accessible from Cap South or Eastern Mkt. Metro.

I'm heading out of the museum and I'm gonna walk around the Mall a bit before grabbing some grub.  Maybe I'll even walk to the Hawk for food.  Best Eggs Benedict ever!

How did you spend multiple hours at the Indian museum? there's almost nothing in there except for the outstanding cafeteria.
