I didn't want to bring this thread up just to say this but Jerry Manuel is like an ice pick in the ears.

Original Gangsta.  I've heard him use that for no less than 7 players now.

He just said uh-oh about 49 times during that StL rally.

Jerry Manuel is an idiot. Might be dumber than Kevin Millar/John Kruk

He said the Phillies need a more veteran bench.

Phils aren't out of it.  Teams will come back to them, more in relation to the WC than the division.

Heh.  In this week's MLB Player Poll, they asked which current player is a lock for the Hall of Fame.

A-Rod couldn't even beat out Omar Vizquel to make the list.

Yeah, no reason Halladay should be behind Vizquel.

Omar probably just has more friends around the league.

Cards win !

we really don't want the cards to win.  they are competing for a wild card spot.  mets are not.

I'd rather see the Cards there than a lot of other teams.

I suppose I'd rather see them than the Dodgers, but not the Braves or Pirates...

Does any other team even have a chance at one?

Meh, none of those teams really scare me all that much.

DPM ... i'm just talking about for our sakes.  who gives a crap about other teams.

we want all teams that are close to the wild card spots to lose (in case the braves catch us).

shouldn't be hard to understand 8)

They should give both MVP awards to Mike Trout.

But really it's looking like McCutchen v. Braun.

No question it's McCutchen if Pirates get the 2nd WC.
