Detwiler's hanging in there.  Not quite as dominant as Wang last night, of course.

Hey, what did you think of THAT performance, eh?
Fluke. Let's see him do it against Philly and then I'm convinced.

Fluke.

So, that's your assessment of a 6-inning, 1 hit outing?

Okay, just wanted to see what your take on it is.

Jayson Werth is a poor outfielder. And an awful hitter.

Every time Detwiler issues a walk it kills him.

“@MarkZuckerman: Ill-advised move by Werth to try to slide and catch Soriano's blooper down RF line. If he lets ball fall and picks up, run doesn't score.”

Pathetic jerk. Cant believe we have 6 more years of his crap

How many times are we going to bring Detwiler back out there before we can finally agree we've seen enough?

I'm stunned that he didn't run for home anyways.  That's what he does.

4th   A Soriano doubled to right, G Soto scored.

Nationals 1
Cubs        2

He's not exactly getting crushed.  Still deserving of continued trial.

I just feel like I've seen this story before, over and over and over again.  He's never quite bad enough that we feel like we can give up on him, but neither has he definitively shown he should stick around.  The only reason he's still up is because he's left-handed, and somehow that's not doing it for me anymore.  Maybe I'm being irrational though.

Only the Nats are capable of getting worse all the while winning 7 of 10.
