Lombo is hitting below .200 against LHP (albeit small sample size).

Guess Johnson feels Nady will hit Minor better.

Nady is hitting .162/.205/.378 it's not like he's been mashing against left handed batters. Lombo has been able to hit lefties his whole minor league career (.291/.347/.418 MiLB career) and there is no reason he should ever be benched in favor of Xaiver Nady... ever

I don't think there is much to this season's numbers for Lombo v. LHP when you look at his minor league splits (discussed in another thread).  As for Lombo v. Nady, I think if Nady does not show something soon, he may be gone as soon as DeRosa is ready.  Read this as close to Davey's last attempt to reach the drowning man with a life preserver.  Nady must grab his chance now, or else he risks sinking off the roster.

Nasty, nasty weather in the area right now.  If you are headed to the Park be safe.

On FM-106.7's top-of-the-hour sportscast, the announcer seemed a bit skeptical (at least judging from his tone of voice) about this one starting on time - mentioning wind and 'getting ready to rain'.

Rain and thunder in south Arlington right now.

I put it at about 2% chance this game starts on time...if at all.

I'm going to cool my jets at la casa for a while before making a decision as to when (or whether) to head down there.  The next frontal system is coming in from the west, which ought to make this $hitshow even more interesting in a couple of hours.

Weather Channel still sticking to 80-100% chance of precip all through normal game time, with thunderstorms/thundershowers all the way through (http://www.weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/graph/Washington+DC+USDC0001:1:US).

Sitting this one out myself - if they do try to get it going tonight at least I'll have Slowes and Jageler. I'm not a weather wuss, but I do draw the line at lightning (and with a longer trip home than usual due to thr track work starting at 22.00 I've got added disincentive to bother tonight).

Still no official word, but the 106.7 announcer still has that skeptical tone of voice (adding this time 'if they get it in').

I would be at this game do or die but something about tornado warnings and another weather system behind the current ones makes me say "Nah"

Still no official word but the top-of-the-hour sportscast says they're still trying to get it in.

Dave Jageler on 106.7 right now.

Jageler still hopeful they'll get it in - 'they've got all these trombones out there' and it's kind of difficult if they'd be standing in the rain.

Guess I'll go down there and see what happens.  Why not.  Better than being a responsible person and getting the paint cans off my roof.

Raining fairly hard now and tarp on the field, but Slowes/Jageler pre-match show on 106.7 is still beginning on schedule.
