Where's he gonna play though? As others mentioned, season ends soon after that?

The Minor league regular season ends Labor Day weekend. After that, the teams take a few weeks off and then they start what are called the Instructional Leagues down in Florida and Arizona - depending on where your Spring Training site is.  This is not the same as the AFL.

Can you really see him playing second- ever time a runner slides to break up a DP, every Nats fal will hold their breath

No. I never really did. But I could see him at first. Or at third and move Zimmerman to first.

As much as it pains me to say since I've always loved Zim's glove I think this is the best option currently. Zim just doesn't seem as rangy anymore.

He definitely needs to fully heal before he's judged, but his throwing motion does seem a little off.

It's been like that for 3 years. If he could make the normal, easy toss to first as well as he throws on the run, he'd win a GG every year

It's looked like that since he changed his motion when he got hurt the last time.  Once he worked through the kinks he was actually more accurate.  Everyone is going to have bad throws on occasion.

If he can stay on the field, he'll win it most years.

I have no problems with Zimmerman's ugly throwing motion, as long as it gets there accurately and on time. It just feels like he doesn't have the range he did back in '10 and before.

I noticed Rendon is in the GCL lineup today... guess his rehab has finally begun.

I'd love to get to Potomac to see Rendon play in a game Meyer starts.

Obviously Arizona wants to see Rendon get some in-game action and Meyer at good A ball before they give us Justin Upton!

Game over.  It looks like they pinch hit for him near the end.

1/1 with a BB and HR today.

Pulled from game after HR. Likely done with rehab and off to whatever farm club they want him to be on.
