To me, it didn't even look like he was paying attention.

That would be even worse. I hope he was.

I need to see the replay again, but the biggest problem I have is nyjer not sliding...I don't mind seeing collisions @ plate...but as we have said he had the run if he slides.

No problem with him being aggressive and trying to score.  The problem was that he didn't slide.  It's like he wants to run into people.

I think Nyjer thought he was gonna be dead and went for it.  In the end Nyjer was dead though.

I almost felt like he ran him over to prove he could run a catcher over if he wanted to.

I feel like he was trying to say 'look, I wasn't trying to run over the St. Louis catcher'.

I think I'm giving him too much credit.

And again it hurts we didn't score there but there is no reason we should let storen off the hook.  Single, stolen base, walk, walk off single...he got the loss for us.

Yeah I'm pissed at Storen for not winning with our 0 run lead.

Good one.  You can't win with zero runs, I've heard.

I believe he had to make a decision bang-bang and ended up the wrong one.  Because it was Nyjer, if he had slid and was out most of the Nat haters here would say, "Now he won't run into the catcher"!  He does continue to be a poor decision maker at an high percent.

Did he give up a run?  Yes he did.  He got the loss, don't sugarcoat it.

He has been bad the last 3 outings.

If the offense doesn't score, we'll never win that game. We'll win more than we lose if we give up 1 run in 9 innings.

Morgan gets the stupid squirrel award for tonight. If he didn't blow it, Storen has the chance to keep it going or blow it.

Big surprise the rookie closer has a mini slump of three games.

When your offense scores zero runs, you can't blame the pitching.  I usually say if the offense doesn't score at least three runs, you can't blame the pitching. Zero runs scored is just the extreme.  If your offense scores zero runs, the FIRST run a pitcher gives up, he's responsible for the loss.  I can't buy that.  I can't buy the idea that whichever pitcher was on the mound, the first (and last) time an opponent scored he gets the blame for the loss when the offense had TEN INNINGS to push ONE RUN across home plate!

Maybe we win it in the 11th with our 2-3-4 coming up.  Storen didn't give us the chance to do that, there's no way around it.

I like him and think he has a bright future but he gave up the game deciding run.

(Note I do blame morgan and already have...but I'm not letting storen off the hook)

Well that's your opinion.  I am sure he would tell you he feels like crap after that one.

And Morgan feels like he did nothing wrong. Speaks volumes doesn't it?

When did I say that was okay?  Morgan should feel like crap for not deciding to slide.

Hopefully the cheap ass owners go after crawford or werth next year so we don't have to hear fans nag about morgan.  And the LAC doesn't have to nag about how cheap they are.

Tonight's post game interview with Morgan should be a classic.

I was pretty certain MASN would NOT allow this interview of Nyjer:

Debbi: "You do know that you're allowed to slide into home plate...  Don't ya... CHUMP?

Missed this game but was impressed to see JZ with a line of 6 IP and 9 K's... Was he bringing the heat?

I only caught the last three innings so I can't answer that, but yeah, it's really impressive and nice to hear after the Strasburg news.

holy what an outing by JZ. I'm starting to doubt Storen's consistency but even with his bad stint, his numbers do not look bad.
