Sorry I'm late. I take it that this is the Jordan Zimmermann everyone has been talking about. OK, worth the wait.

Masterful, dominating.  A real powerhouse performance.

What was in the mosquito?  Malaria?

Dengue.  The little guy was only about 3 months old, born a year to the day after Anibal's no-hitter.  Anibal has a tattoo of him on his right bicep.

Great job by Peralta.  He's really surprised me this year.  Wonder why it took so long for him to really put it together.

I am loving the year he has had and maybe he has finally figured things out, but it certainly isn't unusual for a reliever to have a fluke year.  I can think of a few nationals relievers of years past that would fit the bill.

We better not waste this performance.  Best pitching performance of the year by far.  Better than Stras's debut.

When did all this "front door" "back door" BS start?

That's been around as long as men and women have been banging.

Got a feeling Zimm or Dunn is going to win it with a monster blast.

Along with his speed, Bonifacio's range at 2B was one of the things I loved about him when he was with us.  Great play.  Should have been a hit.

Peralta credits throwing different pitches in different counts. I imagine someone could go to Brookings and prove it.

The Marlins pen provides a scoreless inning, and here I sit without buying a lottery ticket.

Aside from that hit he yielded, ZNN had no hit stuff tonight.

I don't doubt that he said and I am willing to look it up (b/c it is something that does interest me), but something more specific would help.  I am not going to be able to do much with "throwing different pitches in different counts."  Either way, there are always cases of relievers (or pitchers for that matter) that finally figure out the art of pitching and become successful in the latter years of their career.  Here is to hoping Peralta is one of them

Thank God we don't have to worry about Dengue fever in the DC area, it hasn't been a swap here for over 100 years, but I'm still glad we use the mosquito net. Poor Anibal :( I really like him a lot.

If the Nats can somehow pull out a win, this will be the biggest winning streak of the season.
That's actually kind of sad if you think about it.

You can search the nats.com and mansports archives, sorry I can't be more help but I'm super busy. It was an interview where he said he learned in the DR winter league to throw inside-out and use his forkball in fastball counts.

Top 3 pitching performances in Nats history:

1. John Patterson vs. Dodgers
2. Jordan Zimmermann vs. Marlins
3. Ramon Ortiz almost no-hitter

Gameday just warned me that 3D pitch visualization might run slowly on my hyperthreaded quad core computer
