You realize everyone projected him as a #1/#2 starter?
I realize you're Mr. Pessimistic but there was no doubting his stellar stuff

I never doubted JZ.  I think he could be even better than Strasburg.

When Anibal tore his labrum, Loria sent him to the minors and then put him on the minor league DL, refusing to pay him his MLB salary.  Anibal won the grievance about two years ago, got his back pay and MLB time credited.

While sitting out after the surgery, getting his minor league pay, his infant son died from a mosquito bite.  I am thrilled to see him overcome the labrum and everything life has thrown at him - an easy guy to root for - at least if a Marlins fan.

I love how Florida is nicknamed the Sunshine state. It's about as accurate as New Jersey being known as the Garden state

"Sanchez had TJ at age 19."

Ray Knight
Now I see it in his wikipedia entry.  TJ in 2003.  Torn labrum in 2007.

i vote this as the most depressing game of the year, because it is a hard reminder of how good this team could have been next year with Strasburg/Zimmerman as our 1-2 punch, but now we have to wait until 2012.

Sigh....

At least "come dressed as an orange seat" night in Miami was a whopping success.

I remember you posting about this before.  A hard guy not to root for, except against the nats ;)

They were just talking on the Marlins' broadcast about his son dying, I had no idea about that.   So sad :(

Nah...it's all pretty much crap.  Toxic Garden State is right on target.

What sucks about Pudge is, no matter what happens, I don't have faith that he can hit it far enough to score Dunn.

Cut out a crescent-shaped swath from Perth Amboy to Fort Lee and jam it across the river to New York - where it belongs - and you got yourself a very pretty state. Like Pennsylvania, with fewer red necks.

Ignorant people stay the hell away from Paterson and Pine Barrens. Jersey is just turnpikes, strip malls, and diners.

Penn's roads are the worst I've ever seen. It doesn't seem to matter where in the state you're driving either.
