Compared to other Yankees teams, this one isn't as nearly as good. Rodriguez and Jeter, for example, are a shadow of their younger selves. The fact that we're leading at this point in the game doesn't lessen the chasm of the play between us and them.
Look, on one level, my pessimism may be a tad over the top but everything about this game and this series, to me, has made us look awful.
