If we're in it around the all-star break, I could see us making a move, otherwise, it looks like we're riding it out and will be making a bid at one of the big FA's on the market.

Right, two pitchers and a prospect for a RF or just wait and go after Werth/Crawford in the offseason.

eh, if we're in contending position and our RF position still is shaky, we better go out and get a star RF.  talk about LAC.

Depends... no need to give up good prospects for a year or two of a guy when you could wait till the offseason and get a guy for 4-5 years and give up no prospects.

That ball was gone in  29 out of 30 parks.
28 out of 30.  It doesn't go in Houston either.

If we take and remain in 1st place, I'll bet we make a deal with Jermaine Dye, who is sitting out as a free agent.  The Nationals had talked to him earlier, but he wanted more money. [LAC]

"Dye is still taking a hard line on what it will take for him to play. "I'm not going to a bad team, and I'm not playing for $1.5 million," Dye said."

Overreacting to every single thing isn't the opposite of SF.  Going crazy about a guy going 1-7 when he's coming off of a leg injury from last year, had a good spring, and had a hot start at AAA is SF in a nutshell.

Why would we make the RF situation worse by removing defense and not adding offense?

yeah our combined RF'ers are batting worse than .180, there's no offense in the first place.  but i agree his glove is very questionable.

His second half sucked last year, but he hit very well in the first half (20+ homers and a .930+ OPS, I believe). A Dye/Harris platoon would be pretty nice, IMO.

We already have one DH on the team... don't need another.

Plus, Dye already acted like a nag because he didn't want to play for a 'loser'.

freak him, we don't need him now... don't need him when we're good either.

We simply cannot remove Stammen from the rotation and keep Lannan there when moves are made in late May/June.
