Didn't catch the top half of the first inning ... what happened to Lannan was he getting hit hard or a lot of bloopers?  2 runs is damage control, but he's already 36 pitches deep I hear.

C'mon Johnny boy you're better than that.

He got hosed on at least 3 missed strike calls. One hit ricocheted off of Lannan's leg. Nothing has been hit really hard though.

Yet, he goes scoreless in the first.   :?

First hit was a line drive up the middle to the right of the 2B. The second was a double that fell right on the edge of the RF line. Little chance for Harris to get. The 3rd was a hard liner that hit Lannan in the calf and then Lannan retrieved the ball but couldn't reach the 1B. The last one was a line drive to the right side of the IF.

If Lannan surrenders a hit to the pitcher, there will be.

fangraphs was busting Lannan's balls in the offseason for his weak K/BB ratio, not proving them wrong so far this year

Nah, John will settle down. He looked much better toward the end of the 1st inning. Let's just hope the umpire calls strikes that are supposed to be strikes.

Lannan's deal with the devil is finished. Now every bloop hit is falling against him. He is unlucky after being lucky last year.

Get rid of Nieves. People are running on him constantly. The same happened last friday when the Brewers had 3 or 4 steals.

you have to blame lannan for gonzalez's steal but i agree nieves needs to go.  so tired of seeing his weak bat and his overrated defense.  if only flores could ever stay healthy.

good second inning for lannan though.  16 pitches, 2 k's.  need bats to start going.
