I agree, keep Guz at second and let Desmond start playing everyday

This is why I hate having Guzman on the team. Hes a great player but hes taking away development time for Desmond.

Kennedy goes where then? Why not put Guz in RF?

I heard a rumor that Desmond won the job. Maybe it is just me but it doesn't look that way with all the off days he is getting.

Yeah I hate when Riggs plays the guy that has produced 15 runs in 12 games.

I also hate it when Riggleman continually benches our best MI every other day so he can play 2 mediocre veterans.

Desmond has started 11 games and appeared in all 14.  Guz has started 10 and appeared in 12.  You guys cry about this too much.  Desmond is getting plenty of starts, and Guzman will probably be gone by midseason.

I'm okay with Guzman getting starts, just not this many at short.  Maybe mix in some in RF.  Its a good problem to have I guess.

Until Guz's bat cools off, I'm not going to complain about Riggleman finding ways to get him in the lineup.  I think all of this talk about stunting Desmond's development is overblown.

The team can't keep playing Guzman. Just pick and choose his spots. His BABIP is .447 right now. Play him against weak lefties so that he has good numbers and we can ship him off without worrying about playing him again.

Who cares what his BABIP is? He's hitting the ball and getting on base. If you want to be a fan of stats, go watch your accountant work.

I agree Blue.  He's getting on base ... I don't mind seeing him in the line-up, but wish it wouldn't mean Desmond gets a day off.  I think Desmond in the line-up (and out @ short) gives us our best chance to win.  Oh well go get 'em Nats.

I don't think that means they have to bench him, just that they should be expecting a correction, and be ready to sit him when it happens

Who cares? What matters is how he's swinging the bat today.

Ride the hot hand until it cools off and then trade him before anyone realizes it.

Okay, well, he's swinging the bat in such a way that he probably won't get on base as much unless he maintains his luck with where his hits are dropping.

Capiche?  That said:

Agreed.  Let's see if we can fleece someone.
