Buxton is apparently the most laid back man in the history of history.

Yea, my guess is that Seattle still goes with Zunino, though the last time they went catcher at #3, Jeff Clement didn't work out so well.

Catcher high is just stupid- best case you base an offense around a guy playin a max of 80% of games?

That's why it was so smart for the Nats to announce Harper as an of, and just get it out of ppl's heads right away.

damn, well look at that. A near-ready #2 caliber SP fell into the Orioles' lap. But apparently he's asking for a lot of money

Who cares what they're announced as.

If Cam Newton was listed as an OL by the Panthers.. he'd still be their QB, and no one would care.

lol guess the nats' prosperity isn't enough, in order for it to be complete, their BWI rival must suck.  Not gonna lie, kinda feel the same way.

Jim Callis:
jimcallisBA: I'm thinking #Orioles are taking Gausman at 4. Could be Fried, too. #mlbdraft

yea i gotcha, what i meant was they didn't really entertain the idea of him as a future catcher.

Also, he'll be an Oriole, which means he will be highly touted but when he gets to the big leagues he'll suck.

I fail to see why Buxton has bust written all over him. Because he's from a small town? May not have big time power? With his overall package of skills and work ethic, there's no reason to think he won't be a star. A Peter Bourjos type is the floor IMO. That's definitely not worth the #2 pick in the draft, but he's clearly got the skills to be a better version of Adam Jones, even up there with some Mike Trout ability.

They did more to keep baseball out of dc than anyone else, they still have MASN to siphon off dc revenue whose coverage of the Nats happens to blow- I wish them eternal last place right until the mayflower trucks show up

Gausman it is. Great arm but he needs some work in the Minors for sure.

I just don't see it. He won't have the power of Adam Jones, not close. Maybe BJ Upton without the pop.

2014 - Gausman out of baseball due to eating too many donuts.
