[hammondsnats] I will bring the win upon us with my awesome gameday skills. Rubberband Man will trump the cubs in their park. [/hammondsnats]

I think Gorzelanny is hittable. As long as the offense shows up and Livan Orville Redenbacher pitches decently, this should be a win. It will be interesting to see if this team rebounds.

As long as the offense shows up

In other words: as long as this game is somehow different from the last four.

Don't hold your breath.

Again, we heard the accounts of how ticked the team was after Saturday's loss ... I think they'll come out ready to go tonight.  Let's face it, yesterday:

>our starter walked five batters and worked himself in (and sometimes out of) jams all night
>our offense was non-existant from innings 1-3 and 7-10
>our defense wasn't exactly great

yet we still were in the ballgame til the end (10th).

livan pitched well @ wrigley last year for us and has a 4-3 record with a 2.93 ERA in 10 starts.

I really have enjoyed the joy-joy feelings surrounding this team the past couple days and I just don't want to buzzkill.

I just want watchable games that I don't turn off in frustration in the 3rd inning.

I have no joy-joy feelings at the moment.  They really need to just bench RZ, Harris, and Pudge for the remainder of this series so we have them at full strength vs. Florida.

Some kind of bruise.  That's why he didn't play last night vs. a righty.

Ahh, thanks. I started watching the game late and then didn't bother until the feed was back.

Was the injury from crashing into the wall on that catch?

That's not the issue for me, it's that he's back at 2b.  If we were facing a righty, I think Kennedy would have started.

Rubberband man?  I dont know if that works for Livo.  Elastic-waist band man, maybe?

It is painful to see every day. Hopefully with the day game tomorrow Zimmerman can play.
