Learning Spanish (Help!)
« Topic Start: December 26, 2011, 03:07:50 PM »
So I have to take an online placement test for a Spanish class. I didn't realize my major requires me to finish Spanish 203 as a core class and guess what, come last semester I need to take it. But wait! There are some issues! I either need to a) have taken 4 years of spanish to be able to take 203 (only took 3), b) have taken spanish 101 at UMD or an equivalent college (I didn't) or c) I need to test out of this online placement test so I have to go with C).

Does anyone have any good websites or something that I could look at to review my spanish so I can, hopefully, pass this thing and not ruin my chances of graduating.

Oh man, I totally did use one of those websites in high school, but that was six years ago and I can't remember. :(
I did read El Pais every day or two to make sure my reading comprehension was 100% solid.

Another semester likely means more money.

Not sure if there are cheaper options.

I've thought of it but free options would be better.

Move to Mexico for a few months?  Good old immersion technique.

You could probably immerse yourself just as well in Manassas. Or Gaithersburg.

I thought he meant the original  .....

You could try my technique from college.    Open the book and fall asleep on it ... osmosis.    Then again, that's probably one of the reasons I got drafter.

Or the UHaul store in Falls Church.  Seriously, stop by there next weekend and go along with those guys on a job or two.  You'd be living the 21st century version of this great, great adventure:

OMG, RHHD has the best chili half-smokes. I make up reasons to go there just for those.
