well that was unexpected.. good for Belliard.

Carpenter is so bad. He didn't even say anything until the ball was over the fence.

Ronnie knew it off the bat.  Had that "yeah, I know" look to him.

Yeah, I thought that too.  You could tell by Belliard's reaction, but Bob must have been looking at a stat sheet or something else.

Ronnie hit a decent number of jacks last year, but he's been awful this year.   Last year he started slowly before really hitting well the last 2/3 of the season, but do we have to wait for that every year?

It seems like he just takes this huge lopsided swing, doesn't look, and hopes he gets lucky and hits the ball.

I'm not convinced he's going to suck.

And don't throw evidence at me, either.  He's got a lot of talent, he's performed at a very high level in the past, and he's healthy now.  Just saying, he might be okay.

well, we are due for one of these guys to pitch well. We have gone through like 15 relievers this year and not one of them has been worth a damn.

If he does this inning I will buy you a dinner at the ballpark. If he doesn't you buy me a dinner at the ballpark.

I like him, too. When he doesn't overthrow the ball, he's solid.

I drafted him on my fantasy team, but Rollins has been on fire for about 3 weeks.  So those stats were MUCH WORSE in April.  He sat on my bench whenever possible.

EDIT: Last 14 games: BA .292, 13 Runs, 1 HR, 7 RBIs, 7 SBs (including tonight, and that's 5 games against the Natinals)

But 5 of his 9 stolen bases have been against the Natinals.
