This game is over. The offense and Villone share equal blame.
WRONG.  The Oreos have the 2nd worst ERA in MLB after us, and have given up the 2nd MOST HRs in MLB, 1 run behind Philly.  They already gave us 1 HR and we'll going to break this open.

JAS :bball:N  BERGMANN puts 'em down again.

This is the offense's last chance to score.

We still have 6 outs to go. Not only that but why declare tomorrow's game a loss? That makes no sense.
winning 1 out of 3 is pointless. if we aren't going to win the series we might as well get swept to make this homestand as embarrassing and painful as possible for the front office.

The Orioles have never swept the Nats.  No win is pointless.

That is asinine. You make statements like this and then you are the first to nag about getting swept yet you are suggesting that after losing the first two you might as well not even try to win the last game.  :?

The FO is trying to convert O's fans.  A free blue Curly W cap tonight, and a free kid's Zimmerman shirt tomorrow.

HEAT UP BATS...

What's the point anymore? If we can't do better than 1-10 in a homestand against Pitt, Baltimore, and Philly, why even bother trying?

Let me help you here.  Wins = good.  Losses = bad.

Hey sportsfan, is that the first runner Villone has allowed to score since we got him?

And then you can nag about players not trying. Then again you do it anyway. I'm pretty sure you have suggested the Nats forfeit games but if they did you would nag because they are giving up and it would confirm your conviction that we have a bunch of losers who don't care about winning.  :?  You'd think at 21 you would know better.

Then that would make him... garbage, trash.

Dunn gets it Dunn.  1st & 2nd, 1 out

this season is a disaster and nothing is getting better. I wish we could just fast forward to 2010.

I believe he allowed an inherited runner to score against the Giants. But he has been decent in not allowing inherited runners to score.

Their job isn't to be perfect.  That's too much to ask for any bullpen.

This offense is as bad as any offense in the history of the Washington Nationals and that's saying A LOT!
I'm not asking them to be perfect.  But if the offense is struggling right now so the pitchers know they have a smaller margin of error.  Villone didn't execute where normally does, so he does get his share of the blame.  The offense does too of course, but everyone gets a share.  The offense will rebound when the others get back from the DL in the next week to 10 days.  The bullpen has been better, hopefully that continues.
